Care & Maintenance
How do I care for my handloom saree?
Each saree comes with specific care instructions. Generally, we recommend dry cleaning for silk sarees and gentle hand wash for cotton. Avoid direct sunlight, store in muslin cloth, and keep away from moisture. Visit our Care Guide page for detailed instructions.
What is Pico & Fall stitching?
Pico is decorative edge stitching that prevents fraying and adds a polished finish. Fall is a fabric lining attached to the saree’s hem for weight and drape. We offer professional Pico & Fall services as add-ons during checkout.
How should I store my sarees?
Store sarees in breathable cotton or muslin bags in a cool, dry place. Refold along different lines every 3-4 months to prevent permanent creases. Use natural moth repellents like neem leaves or dried lavender.

About Our Craft
Where are your sarees made?
Our sarees are woven in various heritage weaving clusters across India including Varanasi, Murshidabad, Bhagalpur, Chanderi, Paithan, and traditional weaving villages. Each product page details the specific origin.
Who are the artisans?
We partner directly with master weavers and artisan families who have practiced their craft for generations. Many of our collaborators are National Award winners. Visit our Craft Stories page to meet the artisans.
How long does it take to weave a saree?
Depending on complexity, a handloom saree takes anywhere from 10 days to 6 months. Intricate Banarasi brocades can take 3-6 months, while simpler weaves may take 10-15 days.
What is your approach to sustainability?
We champion slow fashion by working with natural fibers, supporting traditional crafts, ensuring fair wages, and promoting zero-waste practices. Handloom weaving is inherently sustainable, using minimal electricity and no polluting processes.
